A Skywest Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N282SY performing flight
DL-3557 from Pasco,WA to Seattle,WA (USA), was in the initial climb out of Pasco's runway 30 when the crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet due to a bird strike. The aircraft returned to Pasco for a safe landing on runway 30 about 25 minutes after departure.
A passenger reported there was a big thud as the aircraft climbed out following by shuddering of the aircraft. After a while the captain announced they had received a bird strike and were returning to Pasco.
A replacement Embraer ERJ-175 registration N288SY reached Seattle with a delay of 4 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Pasco about 20 hours after landing back.
