A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N434WN performing flight WN-1749 from Washington National,DC to Tampa,FL (USA), was enroute at FL380 about 110nm southsouthwest of Washington when the crew decided to divert to Baltimore,MD (USA) due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft initially descended to FL300, turned around and landed in Baltimore about 65 minutes after leaving FL380.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N460WN reached Tampa with a delay of 3:20 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Baltimore about 17 hours after landing.
