A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N8557Q performing flight
WN-1581 from Oakland,CA to Phoenix,AZ (USA) with 180 people on board, was climbing out of Oakland's runway 30 when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 reporting the engine #1 was giving them some failure indication, they were still investigating. The crew requested a visual approach to runway 30, needed a delay vector already on final approach and made a 360 before continuing the final. The aircraft landed safely on runway 30 about 30 minutes after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N8313F reached Phoenix with a delay of about 3 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 19.5 hours after landing back.
