A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N500WR performing flight WN-3007 from San Jose Cabo (Mexico) to Houston Hobby,TX (USA), was climbing through about FL190 out of San Jose Cabo when the crew stopped the climb after an engine (CFM56) emitted a bang and streaks of flames and decided to return to San Jose Cabo. The aircraft landed safely back on runway 16 about 27 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
