A Spirit Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N508NK performing flight
NK-1396 from Milwaukee,WI to Fort Lauderdale,FL (USA), was enroute at FL350 when the aircraft suffered an electrical failure causing the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) to deploy. The aircraft continued the flight to Fort Lauderdale for a safe landing about 2:50 hours after departure.
On Apr 15th 2022 the NTSB reported the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by the NTSB.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Fort Lauderdale for about 41.5 hours before returning to service.
