A Summir Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-200, registration C-GJPY performing flight SUT-7191 from Yellowknife,NT to Kugluktuk,NU (Canada), was on approach to Kugluktuk when the crew observed a low oil pressure indication for the left hand engine (PW124B), shut the engine down and continued for a safe landing in Kuglutuk.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the oil plug in the oil cooler had loosened. The plug was replaced.
