A Tara Air de Havilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otter, registration 9N-AEV performing a flight from Simikot to Bajura (Nepal), had landed on Bajura's runway but had burst the right hand main tyre. The aircraft was disabled on the runway.
Another aircraft on approach to Bajura could not land as result prompting the passengers waiting for that aircraft to "tow" 9N-AEV off the runway to enable their aircraft to land.
