A Thai Smike Airbus A320-200, registration HS-TXL performing flight WE-177 from Chiang Mai to Bangkok (Thailand), was climbing through FL300 towards FL330 out of Chiang Mai when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft continued to Bangkok at FL100 and landed safely on runway 01L about one hour after departure.
Thailand's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
