A THY Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-900, registration TC-JYI performing flight TK-2111 from Ankara to Istanbul (Turkey), was climbing out of Ankara when the crew stopped the climb at FL260 and returned to Ankara after observations of parts of the bulb seal blowing around were made on the left hand inboard flap track fairing reminding passengers of small flames out of the fairing. The aircraft landed safely back about 30 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Ankara about 29 hours after landing back.
