A Transavia Boeing 737-800, registration PH-HSB performing flight
HV-5752 from Marrakesh (Morocco) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was climbing through about FL070 out of Marrakesh's runway 10 when the crew received an overheat indication for the right hand engine (CFM56). The crew stopped the climb at about 11600 feet, shut the engine down and returned to Marrakesh for a safe landing on runway 10 about 45 minutes after departure.
On Sep 30th 2026 BEA Maroc reported that during pushback after starting the right hand engine the crew received an overheat indication, the crew carried out the memory items and the relevant checklists. The overheat indication extinguished. After consultation with maintenance the crew decided to continue. Following departure at about FL070 the overheat indication activated again, the engine was shut down and the aircraft returned to Marrakesh for an overweight landing.
