The NTSB reported the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power shortly after takeoff and made an emergency landing at Merill with two pilots on board, the aircraft was still gear up when the aircraft touched down on runway 07 at Merril. There were no injuries. An investigation has been opened.
The aircraft was recovered from the runway by a crane, the runway was returned to service about 6:15 hours after landing.
