A United Boeing 787-9, registration N36962 performing flight UA-142 from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Denver,CO (USA) with 261 people on board, was on approach to Denver when the crew aborted the approach reporting low hydraulic pressure. The crew entered a hold to work the checklists, advised they would land, stop on the runway and determine whether they would be able to taxi on own power or needed a tow. The aircraft landed on runway 34L about 40 minutes after aborting the first approach and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft returned to service after about 31.5 hours on the ground in Denver.
