A UTAir Boeing 737-500, registration VQ-BJN performing flight P2-6405 from Krasnoyarsk to Igarka (Russia) with 112 passengers and 5 crew, was enroute at FL320 when the crew observed oscillations of N1 and N2 of the left hand engine (CFM56). The crew disconnected autothrottle and continued the flight to Igarka for a safe landing. After landing the engine was shut down.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Igarka until Jan 4th 2021, then positioned to Surgut (Russia) and returned to service on Jan 6th 2021.

On Jan 22nd 2021 Rosaviatsia reported a problem with a fuel pump exacerbated by the autothrottle reactions caused the oscillations of the left hand engine.
