A Volaris Airbus A320-200, registration N526VL performing flight Y4-620 from Guadalajara to Mexicali (Mexico), was enroute at FL380 about 210nm southsoutheast of Mexicali and about 280nm southsoutheast of Tijunana when the crew decided to divert to Tijuana reporting a fuel leak. The aircraft landed safely in Tijuana about 45 minutes later.
Mexico's AIB rated the occurrence an incident and opened an investigation.
