A Wasaya Airways de Havilland Dash 8-100, registration C-GANF performing flight WT-814 from Pickle Lake,ON to Kingfisher Lake,ON (Canada) with 2 crew and a load of unleaded gasoline in a collapsible tank installed in the cabin, was climbing out of Pickle Lake, when the crew noticed a strong smell of unleaded gasoline on the flight deck. The first officer went to the cabin to investigate and found two vent line valves were open and the line had been left uncapped causing gasoline to spill into the cabin. The first officer closed the valves stopping the gasoline spill. The flight crew depressurized and ventilated the aircraft, declared emergency and returned to Pickle Lake for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported after shutdown gasoline leaked from the aircraft fuselage onto the apron prompting spill response procedures.
