A Westjet Encore de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-FWEZ performing flight WS-3298 from Prince George,BC to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 78 passengers and 4 crew, was in the initial climb out of Prince George when the left main gear did not indicate retracted as required. The crew worked the related checklists, extended the gear manually and returned to Prince George for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance installed landing gear pins and the aircraft ferried to Vancouver. Maintenance found air in both the hydraulic reservoirs #1 and #2. The air was removed, the reservoirs serviced with hydraulic fluid, the system was tested servicable, maintenance removed the landing gear pins and returned the aircraft to service.
