AA-2952 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Boston,MA (USA) with 114 people on board, was climbing out of Chicago's runway 27L when the crew declared Mayday reporting a left hand engine (CFM56) failure. The aircraft stopped the climb at 6000 feet and returned to Chicago for a safe landing on runway 28R about 35 minutes after departure. The aircraft stopped for an inspection on the runway and taxied to the apron about 7 minutes later.
