A Swiss International Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration HB-IOO performing flight LX-632 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 152 people on board, was climbing out of Zurich's runway 28 when the crew stopped the climb at FL240 due to a strange odour in the forward cabin. The aircraft returned to Zurich for a safe landing on runway 14 about 30 minutes after departure.

The airline reported an extraordinary smell in the forward cabin that increasingly spread. The origin of the smell is currently unknown. The passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
