LX-2142 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Valencia,SP (Spain) with 173 people on board, was on final approach to Valencia's runway 12 when the crew initiated a go-around due to a hydraulic failure affecting the landing gear. The aircraft entered a hold while the crew was working the checklists. The aircraft subsequently performed a low approach to have the landing gear checkd from the ground. The aircraft finally performed a safe landing on runway 12 with open gear doors and stopped on the runway. The aircraft was towed off the runway.
The airline reported an indication for one of the three hydraulic systems affecting the landing gear. The aircraft performed a low approach to have verified that the landing gear has been properly locked into its down position.
