An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N910AN performing flight
AA-2546 from Los Angeles,CA (USA) to Mexico City (Mexico), was climbing through FL260 out of Los Angeles, when the crew stopped the climb, descended the aircraft to FL240 and decided to return to Los Angeles, where the aircraft landed safely back on runway 25R about 45 minutes after departure.
The FAA reported: "American Airlines Flight 2546 safely returned to Los Angeles International Airport around 10:20 a.m. local time on Friday, June 13, after the crew reported a window seal leak. The Boeing 737-800 was traveling to Mexico City, Mexico. The FAA will investigate."
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N807NN reached Mexico City with a delay of about 4.5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 48 hours later.
