An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-AQP performing flight AD-2663 from Belo Horizonte,MG to Uberaba,MG (Brazil) with 48 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing out of Belo Horizonte when the crew stopped the climb at FL140 due to a failure indication for the left hand engine (PW127M) and returned to Belo Horizonte for a safe landing on runway 34 about 45 minutes after departure.

Brazil's CENIPA rated the occurrence an incident.
