An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-AKA performing flight AD-4592 from Sao Paulo Viracopos,SP to Sao Jose Do Rio Preto,SP (Brazil) with 70 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing out of Viracopos Airport when the crew stopped the climb at about 5000 feet due to a low fuel level indication. The aircraft returned to Viracopos Airport for a safe landing about 8 minutes after departure.

Brazil's CENIPA reported the crew received a "LH TANK FUEL LOW LEVEL" indication. A post flight examination revealed the indication was false.
