An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-AKM performing flight
AD-2859 from Sao Paulo Viracopos,SP to Uberlandia,MG (Brazil), was on approach to Uberlandia's runway 04 when a bird impacted the right hand propeller (engine PW127M). The aircraft continued for a safe landing.
The aircraft returned to service about 53 hours after landing.
Brazil's CENIPA stated during the landing phase a bird collided with the #2 propeller causing minor damage to the aircraft.
