An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195, registration PR-AXP performing flight AD-4090 from Recife,PE to Fernando De Noronha,FN (Brazil), was in the initial climb out of Recife's runway 18 when the crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet reporting a problem with the nose gear and performed a low approach to runway 18 about 20 minutes later to have the landing gear inspected. Ground observers reported the nose landing gear was not fully aligned. Following the low approach the aircraft climbed back to 3000 feet and entered a hold for about 40 minutes. The aircraft subsequently performed a second low approach to runway 18 and landed safely on runway 18 about 30 minutes after the second low approach.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Recife about 20 hours after landing back.

The airline reported the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
