An Azul Linhas Aereas Embraer ERJ-195, registration PR-AYW performing flight
AD-4943 from Sao Paulo Viracopos,SP to Vitoria,ES (Brazil) with 99 passengers and 5 crew, was climbing through FL290 out of Viracopos Airport when the crew initiated a descent to 9000 feet due to the cabin altitude indication climbing to high values. The aircraft returned to Viracopos Airport for a safe landing about 55 minutes after departure.
Brazil's CENIPA rated the occurrence an incident and did not open an investigation.
