A Biman Bangladesh Boeing 787-8, registration S2-AJS performing flight BG-121 from Dhaka to Chittagong (Bangladesh), was on final approach to Chittagong's runway 23 when one of the engines (GEnx) ingested a bird. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The aircraft was unable to depart for the onward leg to Muscat (Oman) is still on the ground in Chittagong about 23 hours after landing.

A replacement Boeing 787-8 registration S2-AJU reached Muscat with a delay of about 15 hours.
