A Cham Wings Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration YK-BAE performing flight 6Q-781 (dep Jul 18th) from Damascus (Syria) to Muscat (Oman), landed on Muscat's runway 08L but lost directional control during the later stages of the roll out at about 50 knots over ground and veered left towards the runway edge before being able to return onto the runway center line (at about 4 knots over ground). The aircraft taxied to the apron.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Muscat for about 16 hours before returning to Damascus.
Oman's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident in which the aircraft sustainend minor damage and opened an investigation stating: "The pilot informed the tower, that after landing the crew lost control of the aircraft due to the steering wheel and the aircraft veered to the left side of runway 08L near the edge light."
