A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N3736C performing flight DL-1655 from Louisville,KY to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 80 people on board, was climbing out of Louisville's runway 17L when the crew stopped the climb at about 14500 feet reporting they had a problem with the electrical trim and needed to trim manually. The crew requested to return to Louisville, a long final and some delay vectors while they working their checklists and communicating with maintenance to make sure all appropriate checks were done. They were intending to slow early, perform a long final and trim manually. The crew subsequently reported ready for the approach requesting a 20nm final and landed safely on runway 17L about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N3757D reached Atlanta with a delay of about 15.5 hours.
