A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N1604R performing positioning flight DL-9960 from Naples (Italy) to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 3 crew, was descending through about FL130 towards New York when the crew declared emergency reporting a hydraulic pump failure and a high speed landing with reduced flaps. ATC offered runway 13L or 13R (13R being the longest runway), the crew requested a straight in ILS 22L however. The aircraft positioned for an ILS approach to runway 22L, however, did not receive the ILS and switched to a visual approach, tower stated they would put up the ILS now. The aircraft landed safely and taxied to the apron.
The aircraft performed a test flight the following day and returned to service.
