An Indigo Airbus A321-200N, registration VT-IUJ performing flight 6E-2012 from Madurai to Mumbai (India), was descending towards Mumbai when the crew needed to shut one of the engines (PW1133G) down. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Mumbai's runway 27.

The airline reported the aircraft suffered a technical issue, the crew prioritised the landing in Mumbai.

India's DGCA reported they are evaluating the incident.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 32 hours after landing.
