An Air Inuit Boeing 737-200, registration C-GOPW performing flight 3H-781 from La Grande Riviere,QC to Puvirnituq,QC (Canada) with 3 crew on board, was on approach to Puvirnituq when the crew received a flaps asymmetry indication after they selected the flaps to position 1, and the flaps stopped moving. The crew went around, worked the related checklists, prepared the aircraft for a landing with the slats extended but flaps retracted and performed a safe landing on Puvirnituq's runway 19 at a higher than normal speed.
