A JAL Japan Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration JA307J performing flight
JL-687 from Tokyo Haneda to Miyazaki (Japan), was descending towards Miyazaki when the aircraft encountered turbulence causing injuries to a passenger. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Miyazaki's runway 27.
The Japanese JTSB reported a passenger hit his chest against the arm rest of the seat and received fractured ribs. The JTSB rated the occurrence an accident and is being investigating.
The occurrence aircraft performed the return flight to Haneda about one hour after landing.
