A JAL Japan Airlines Boeing 787-9, registration JA869J performing flight JL-36 from Singapore (Singapore) to Tokyo Haneda (Japan) with 185 people on board, was on final approach to Haneda's runway 34L when the crew went around from about 1800 feet AGL and climbed back to 6000 feet reporting a hydraulic failure. The aircraft entered a hold while the crew was working the related checklists. The aircraft landed safely on runway 34L about 30 minutes after the go around and stopped on the runway. Emergency services attended and observed hydraulic fluid leaking from the aircraft. The aircraft was towed to the apron about one hour after landing.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Tokyo about 15 hours after landing.
