A Jazeera Airways Airbus A320-200N, registration 9K-CBH performing flight J9-7 from Kuwait City (Kuwait) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL360 over Germany when the communication with ATC was lost prompting two Eurofighters to be dispatched to intercept the aircraft. Supersonic booms were heard in the Rhein/Main region west of Frankfurt. Communication was restored and the aircraft continued to London without further incident.

The aircraft remained on the ground in London for about 18 hours before departing for the return flight on schedule.

Germany's Luftwaffe confirmed two Eurofighters were dispatched and caused supersonic booms around 17:10L (15:10Z) to intercept an aircraft that had lost radio communication with ATC.

Germany's DFS reported radio contact had been lost to a Kuwaiti airliner of Jazeera Airways.
