A Jetsmart Airbus A320-200, registration LV-HVT performing flight
WJ-3250 from Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA to Jujuy,PJ (Argentina), was on final approach to Jujuy's runway 30 when the aircraft flew through hail causing a cracked windshield. The aircraft continued for a safe landing at 16:05L (19:05Z).
Argentina's JST opened an investigation into the occurrence.
The airline reported the aircraft sustained minor damage to its windshield when it flew through a hail front on final approach to Jujuy. The aircraft can not continue its schedule until the windshield has been replaced.
The return flight WJ-3251 to Buenos Aires Aeroparque,BA (Argentina) was cancelled.
