A LATAM Brasil Airbus A320-200, registration PR-TYI performing flight
LA-8000 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Bogota (Colombia) with 134 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Guarulhos when the crew observed a low oil pressure indication for the right hand engine (CFM56) followed by some noise from the right hand engine. The crew stopped the climb at about FL240, worked the related checklists, shut the engine down and returned to Guarulhos for a safe landing about 40 minutes after departure.
The aircraft returned to service about 36 hours after landing back.
