(SNN - Simon's News Network - special report) After concluding a several years long project recently Sarah and I are going to explore starting later today whether we can add another chapter to our travel stories, see He who travels has stories to tell and He who travels has stories to tell (part 2), .
Unfortunately I can not predict how much time I shall have each day for taking care of The Aviation Herald, unlike previous travels I can not even ensure a minimum of 3 hours per day. As result even breaking news might occur with considerable delay, lesser occurrences might not be covered, important occurrences might be postponed for later coverage. I shall not be as responsive on e-mail as usual though I shall try to read all my mail (up to 1000 mails/day) at least once a day during our trip.
My friend Urs Wildermuth, who occasionally covered for me (for example when I had just boarded a flight to conclude said project, see Crash: Saurya CRJ2 near Kathmandu on Jul 24 2024, rolled right and lost height after take off), will keep an additional eye on The Aviation Herald in the meantime.
Sarah and I shall return home by October 14th, in exactly 4 weeks. I might, or might not, release another part of the "He who travels has stories to tell" series after our return.
Rest assured, whatever time I shall have during our trip, I shall use for keeping AVH updated.
Update Sep 27th 2024: we are well into our trip, so far all working out to plan, the limitation in resources (time as well as Internet traffic volume) still apply however, despite them I manage to get some work done indeed. If you like to guess, post a comment below about where you believe we might be travelling around ...
Update Oct 6th 2024 (07:52L/00:52Z): Our guided tour through Japan has ended, today our additional adventure being on our own in Japan for a week starts. (Hawaii was not a bad guess, same Ocean, but still quite a bit off especially with the posting times ... ;-) - and YN got it right with Japan on Sunday, Sep 29th 2024 12:28Z) One more week only with limited service!
Update Oct 14th 2024: We have safely arrived back home. Now about to catch up with all the backlog and returning to normal service.
