A Loganair Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-500, registration G-LMRE performing flight LM-622 from London Heathrow,EN to Dundee,SC (UK), was on approach to Dundee when the aborted the approach due to the left hand engine (PW127E) suffering power fluctuations and surges. The crew decided to divert to Aberdeen where the aircraft landed safely on runway 16 about 35 minutes after aborting the approach to Dundee.

ON Jul 8th 2026 the AAIB reported the occurrence was rated a serious incident and stated: "Aircraft suffered No 1 engine power fluctuations and surging. Download of QAR data also showed similar but less pronounced behavior on No 2 engine." The AAIB opened an investigation.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Aberdeen on Jul 8th 2026.
