A Lufthansa Boeing 787-9, registration D-ABPE performing flihgt LH-447 from Denver,CO (USA) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was climbing out of Denver's runway 08 when the crew stopped the climb at 10,000 feet due to problems with the landing gear, dumped fuel and returned to Denver for a safe landing on runway 16R about 55 minutes after departure.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Denver on Sep 28th 2024.
A passenger reported the aircraft had been taxiing out when the crew returned the aircraft to the apron due to a passenger medical emergency. The aircraft was subsequently refueled and departed, however, the captain announced the gear doors were not closing, the aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Denver. The flight was cancelled, also the next day.
