A MASWings de Havilland DHC-6-400, registration 9M-SSB performing flight MH-3568 from Miri to Marudi (Malaysia) with 4 passengers and 2 crew, landed on Marudi's runway 10 at about 15:55L (07:55Z) but veered left off the runway and turned 90 degrees right versus its movement of direction until the aircraft came to a stop about 30 meters/100 feet to the left of the runway center line about 490/1600 feet meters down the runway. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained no visible damage.

The airport reported there were no injuries. An examination of the aircraft found no damage. Malaysia's Civil Aviation Authority opened an investigation.

The airline reported the incident happened at 15:55L when flight MH-3568 went off the runway in Marudi. There were no injuries.

Malaysia's Ministry of Transport released their final report along with another occurrence, see Incident: MASWings DHC6 at Mukah on Aug 26th 2015, runway excursion on landing, concluding the probable cause of the occurrence was:

Based on information and data gathered, it was unable to conclude the root cause of the incident.

The report shows a strong similiarity to the earlier occurrence of Aug 26th 2015, reporting both approaches were fully stabilized until touchdown of the main gear, as soon as the nose gear touched down the aircraft veered sharply to the left uncontrollably.

Following the incident the nose wheel strut as well as the nose wheel steering actuator were replaced as a precaution. An examination of the removed components by the manufacturer did not identify any anomalies.

According to AIP Malaysia Marudi offers a runway 10/28 of 800 meters/2625 feet length and 24 meters/80 feet width.
