A Nesma Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration SU-NML performing flight NE-7131 from Bari to Catania (Italy), was climbing out of Bari's runway 25 when the crew stopped the climb at FL150 due to a hydraulic leak and decided to return to Bari for a safe landing on runway 25 about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement A320-200 registration SU-SKC is estimated to continue the flight to Catania and further on to Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt) the next day Aug 26th 2024 with a delay of about 26.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Bari about 24 hours after landing back.
