A Qatar Airways Airbus A320-200, registration A7-LAB performing flight QR-437 from Sulaimaniyah (Iraq) to Doha (Qatar), was climbing through FL265 out of Sulaimaniyah when the crew received indications of excessive cabin pressure with the cabin altitude at 2600 feet as well as "SYS 2". The crew stopped the climb and descended to FL250, the passenger oxygen masks were released. The crew decided to continue the flight to Doha at FL250 and landed safely in Doha about 110 minutes after departure.

Qatar's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.

On Jan 6th 2025 the German BFU reported they have joined the investigation because a component was designed and manufactured in Germany.
