A Spirit Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N528NK performing flight
NK-481 from Atlanta,GA to New Orleans,LA (USA), was enroute at FL320 about 150nm north of New Orleans when the aircraft descended to FL280, declared emergency and continued to New Orleans for a safe landing on runway 29 about 30 minutes after leaving FL320.
The NTSB reported: "N528NK experienced a deployment of the ram air turbine - An emergency was declared and the flight landed safely without further incident.", rated the occurrence an incident and opened an investigation.
