A Spirit Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N657NK performing flight
NK-1215 from Fort Lauderdale,FL to Newark,NJ (USA), was landing on Newark's runway 22L when the aircraft sustained a number of bird strikes. The aircraft continued for a safe landing runway 22L.
The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT STRUCK BIRDS WHILE LANDING AND POST FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED DAMAGE TO CAPTAINS SIDE WINDOW AND NOSE CONE, NEWARK, NJ.", rated the damage substantial and rated the occurrence an accident.
