A Swiss International Airlines Airbus A320-200N, registration HB-JDA performing positioning flight LX-5225 from Ljubljana (Slovenia) to Zurich (Switzerland), was climbing out of Ljubljana when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 and decided to return to Ljubljana for a safe landing on runway 30 about 25 minutes after departure.

The airline reported the crew received indication of a malfunction at one of the emergency exits due to a sensor fault.

The aircraft, that had flown to Ljubljana on Feb 2nd 2026 and had remained on the ground in Ljubljana for more than 6 months until Aug 5th 2026, remained on the ground in Ljubljana for about one hour, then departed again, reached Zurich. The aircraft returned to service on Aug 6th 2026.
