A United Boeing 737-800, registration N24224 performing flight UA-1960 from Los Angeles,CA to Las Vegas,NV (USA), concluded a seemingly uneventful flight with a safe landing in Las Vegas.

A postflight inspection however revealed a panel from the underside of a wing was missing.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Las Vegas for about 19 hours before returning to service.

The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT LANDED AND POST FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED MISSING LOWER WING PANEL, LAS VEGAS, NV."
