A United Boeing 737-900, registration N39463 performing flight
UA-381 from Washington Dulles,DC to Austin,TX (USA), was on final approach to Austin's runway 36R when the crew initiated a go around reporting a flaps issue and requesting delay vectors. The aircraft climbed back to 3000 feet and entered a holding for about 30 minutes. The aircraft subsequently landed on the longest runway available, runway 36L, at a slightly higher than normal speed (165 knots over ground) and after landing requested emergency services to check their brakes.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Austin about 21 hours after landing.
