A United Boeing 767-300, registration N657UA performing flight
UA-934 from Newark,NJ (USA) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL330 about 90nm southwest of Moncton,NB when the crew received a low quantity indication for the left hand hydraulics system and decided to shut the system down. The aircraft returned to Newark for a safe landing about 2.5 hours after departure.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found a faulty hydraulic quantity transmitter. The transmitter was replaced.
