UA-949 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to San Francisco,CA (USA), was climbing out of Heathrow's runway 27L when the crew stopped the climb at FL150 due to smoke in the cabin. The aircraft returned to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 27R about 30 minutes after departure.
The airline reported fumes in one of the galleys prompted the return to London.
The flight was cancelled.
The aircraft returned to service about 32 hours after landing back.
