A United Boeing 777-200, registration N215UA performing flight
UA-1273 from San Francisco,CA to Kahului,HI (USA), was climbing out of San Francisco's runway 28L when the crew requested to level off at 11,000 feet, subsequently requested to descend to 10,000 feet. The crew subsequently advised they had a light on concerning one of their (aircraft) batteries. The aircraft returned to San Francisco for a safe landing on runway 28L about 75 minutes after departure.
A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration N779UA reached Kahului with a delay of about 5.5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in San Francisco about 23 hours after landing back.
